5-17 is bred from two of our very best racing pigeons.  His father Is DIAMOND BLAZE, an AU ELITE CHAMPION and great grandson of Gaby Vandenabeele’s 1^st Provincial Ace BLIKSEM.  BLAZE’S mother is DIAMOND JILL that is also featured in several of our pedigrees of birds for sale.  This spring, a daughter of DIAMOND JILL sold on IPigeon for $1500.  DIAMOND JILL is a full sister to DIAMOND JACKIE that has also bred an AU Champion and multiple head prize winners.  DIAMOND JILL is a cross between DIAMOND RIO from Antoine Jacops Vorselaar Belgium and FLICKER from Mike Ganus USA.  FLICKER is a daughter of Flor Vervoort’s PHANTOM imported by GFL.  5-17’s mother is DIAMOND JULIE, an AU Champion with four 1^st prizes and other head prizes. So both of 5-17’s parents have raced to the distinction of AU Champions.  DIAMOND JULIE is a cross between the BLUE GUSTAAF, a fantastic speed pigeon bred from imports from Gustaaf Cuypers southern Belgium and the DIAMOND DOVE, an excellent breeding pure white throw-back hen line-bred to the very best imports of Antoine Jacops Vorselaar Belgium..Jacops began his racing career in 1967 with a pure white male that survived Jacops’ first year of racing.  Jacops initially bought about fifty young birds from the very best fanciers in his area of Belgium to begin racing.  Twenty-eight pigeons remained at the end of the race season.  Antoine only kept one pigeon from the final group of twenty-eight pigeons to begin his racing prowess – a white male.  Almost fifty years later his pigeons still produce several white or nearly pure white racing pigeons each year.  Oddly enough, so do the Gustaaf Cuypers speed pigeons.  The Jacops-Cuypers crosses are excellent racers and breeders.  5-17 is a beautiful medium-sized male that is very aggressive in the loft.  He was destined to race this spring during the 2018 old bird race series.  However, we are taking a break this spring from racing and are selling our yearling male race team.  Many of the great grandparents, the core of 5-17’s pedigree, are imported from several of the top racing pigeon fanciers in Belgium.  We believe that 5-17 will breed excellent racing pigeons.
