Due to the need of more of my time and attention to my career and family, I’m again having to push back my return to racing locally. It’s safe to say it’s probably going to be several years before that’s a reality. I currently have the largest group of settled and trained birds since we moved to our new location 3 years ago and my plans will be to work with only settled birds for the future. It’s a hard decision, but the right one to begin selling breeders that are prisoners, some that I’ve spent the past three years working with and have become very attached to. The 8 birds listed this week are the last of my directs from Greg McKnight and Frank McLaughlin. All are offered with very reasonable starting bids compared to how much I’ve invested in them and for which siblings are currently being sold. “Mr. Beast” AU-2018-JEDDS-760 MEALY Cock is a proven breeding son of the Famous “Mr. 900”!! For his previous owner he bred two top 1% finishers in the CJC and grandsired an $8k winner in a OLR! I’ve bred from “Mr. Beast” for two years and have several young on different hens for the future of my loft. The quality of his youngsters is exceptional and he’s great in the loft. He’s medium sized with extreme buoyancy. Silky smooth feathers, reaching wings, strong bodied with tight vents, and highly rated dark orange/yellow eyes. He is very active in the loft like he’s a yearling…one of the attributes of these SVR’s and especially the sons of “Mr. 900”!! He will be 7 years old this coming breeding season, but there are years left for him in the stock loft. These “Red Danial” Staf Van Reet’s keep going and going, just like on race day!!
