I have a few straight bred Red Danial Staf Van Reet hens that I'll be offering in consecutive weeks. These hens were the best of the best that I've had in my loft. Last fall I nearly sold all prisoners, but decided to hold onto only a few for one more breeding season. They're the quality of pigeon that is needed for the demands of racing today and will impact your loft immediately. I also paired later this year, so these hens haven't been "bred out" for the year. If I were you, I'd raise a couple more rounds from them before shutting them down for the year. Go ahead and get a jump on adding them to your program!!
AU-2023-JEDDS-1644 BBSPL Hen, I call her "The Whitetail Hen", was added in the middle of the 2024 breeding season. I only raised two nests from her, but loved the youngsters and have loved what I have raised so far this year. She is medium sized and perfect in the hand - silky soft feathering, great wings, pin tail, exceptional muscle, strong vents, flexible body, dark eyes of an orange color - and a very good breeding hen! You can see from her pedigree that the genetics are there for OLR's and Club/Combine racing. The Red Danial SVR's are fast and tough and great allrounders!!
