ERPC Young Bird Auction
from Luma Reign Lofts
item #: 123230
Description

25 ERIE 5522, BC

Hatched: 21 March, first round from pair

This handsome (or maybe pretty…?) youngster is from Luma Reign Lofts and is a cross between Clausing Houbens and potent Long Distance lines from J&A Lofts. I figure this to be a smaller bird when developed as both parents are on the smaller side. He/she is half-sibling to (3) 1st place winners from 2024.

  • The sire is 22 CLAUSING 69, BC – Bred by David Clausing, 69 is a smaller male, very lively in the loft. In his first year as a breeder for me, he bred 24 ERIE 7312 who won 2 races (100m, 200m) and another kid 24 ERIE 7314 flying for Hawk Bait Loft won our annual Young Bird Memorial Race at season’s end. That’s 2 winners from only 3 young raced. After breeding winners for different lofts, now to see if he can with different hens. 69 is a g’son of David’s top current breeder (16 CLAUSING 230) when mated to his #1 daughter “Super Girl” (19 CLAUSING 51) on the sire’s side. His dam (2017 CLAUSING 14) won $1,000 in OLR, then bred a $14,000 OLR winner. Even better; her children have bred OLR $ winners. Super charged genes and already proving to be passed onto the young.

  • The dam is 23 ERIE 5773, BC - A smaller, apple-bodied hen bred by Jim Berdis. 500-mile day birds and winners found here, including “Mr Berdis” (2 x 500m winner, same-day) and Bieche bloodlines. She is a direct daughter off one of J&A Lofts two cornerstone cocks 18 BUF 432, who was bred by Eddie Ambramoski (NY). Her dam was bred by Allen Jacob and is a g’daughter to his HOF Houben (2007). First year breeding her.

No guarantee on the bird’s sex.

Erie Racing Pigeon Club is located just off Lake Erie, in the keystone region of Pennsylvania. Flying since the 30's, we've got a good variety of flyers with varying methods and bloodlines that keep the sport fun and competitive. And we love our long distance birds, especially those 500 mile and 600 mile winners and day birds, as we also compete in the Ohio Penn Federation, where we fly an additional 100-miles on the long end.

Each year, we get together to support our hobby and club by donating selected birds to offer in an auction. Over the next few weeks, you will see various lofts posting young birds of various families.
