The pair that bred the South Africa Winner for Tom Schilling were selected and paired by CBS and then sold to Tom after his uncle bought a super yougster from the pair.
I was in Europe last week and saw Dirk Van Dyck. The grandfather 06-BELG-6210256 is a son of Kannibaal and he also bred "Kleine Jan" winner of 1st Provincial Geuret against 2,247, 3rd National against 9,815. I was able to purchase the youngster this cock had in the nest and Dirk told me it was the last one he would sell. I also purchased two from the Provincial winner.
The mother was bred by Van Elsacker Jepsen (Serge and his wife Kirsten). She was bred from a full brother of "Favoriet" of Rudi De Saer and the dam is also from Rudi De Saer and is almost pure Gaby Vandenabeele. Rudi De Saer was the National Long Distance Champion of Belgium a few years ago and he is one of the best flyers in Belgium at the moment. Both of these pigeons are breeding at CBS.
