7757 is a very well put together bird, tight body, pin tail, super feather, extremely buoyant, and very alert. 7757 is the result of a late cross I decided to try, and wow I’m definitely keeping this pair paired for next year’s breeding season, as this nest turned out very nice! Of note, the half siblings of the dam's side are some of my best performers three races into young birds now; so far and all 4 are still in competition even after our combine had almost 50% losses unfortunately. Last week I had two on my first drop at 1422 YPM, 2nd and 3rd club/9th and 10th combine.
Sire: “Rosita 293” bred by USA lofts, son of Papa Rosita and Blauw Rosita. Imbred to King, with Kittle King, New Kittle and Kittle.
I first purchased this cock thinking it was a hen, but later found out I was very wrong. This is his first year breeding here in my loft, but has shown some very promising and desirable traits. A larger cock, but very buoyant, if you put him in your hands you wouldn’t believe it, there’s absolutely no weight to him even though he’s packed with muscle. HIGH character, possibly of all my cock birds and that's saying alot. I still have three of four of his young on my team after heavy losses this year, and they are showing promise.
Dam: “Red Robin” direct daughter of Pete Vill’s “Bigity’s Star” and foundation hen “Lupita”, straight Greg McKnight blood going back to Bigity, Mr 900 and the famous 31 pair, with a very small touch of Meuleman’s on the sire side.
First year of breeding from Red Robin this year and I’ve been extremely happy with her quality she produces! She is medium to small in size, which I like for my hens, super tight, packed muscle and soft silky feather. She is fast becoming one of my favorite breeding hens and on par with becoming a foundation hen herself. All four of her young are still flying after heavy losses in the combine and two are top performers now the last couple weeks for me.
