As we begin to wind down our 2026 McCabe Garfield Memorial Sale we wanted this week to be EXTRA SPECIAL. There are a couple birds this week that we have absolutely NO business letting go from our loft, but as I mentioned this auction means so much to our family and we promised that we would be selling some of our VERY BEST! I want to take the time to thank each and every one of you who have viewed, bid, or bought one of the birds we have sold this year. We have been overwhelmed at the support we have recieved and are so grateful. I am going to call this week / week and half our finale week however we do have a couple donation birds coming in that we will be listing in the coming weeks that are from some of our close friends. With that said we have got an absolute slammer of a pigeon to lead off this week.
Up for auction is 24-CDR-4102 "Gem's Bro" BB Cock bird! Ladies and Gents when I say I have no business offering up this cock bird I mean it. His Sire recently passed and even more important is he is THE NESTMATE to "GemNEye-4101" the Winner (1st Ave Speed) of the 2024 New England Derby. She was 48th at 121 miles, 54th at 150 miles, 20th at 220 miles, Eq 1st at 316 and 380 miles. 4102 himself completed the entire New England Derby series as well. He is a true foundation speciman.
Sire: NB-18 BC Cock: This Cock bird was strictly bred for stock and was left unbanded on purpose. He is a FULL Sibling to "Miss Millionaire" that was 1st @ 200 miles and 45th on the final race, 4th Ave Speed in the 2017 Hoosier Classic. NB-18 went on to bred several money winners for us and our friends as well as great success on the club and combine level. He has produced money winners in the Hoosier, New England Derby, and Spring Break One Loft Races with sevreal different hens. We recently lost this incredible speciman and have retained 2 of his Son's and 3 Daughters who are a huge part of whats to come in the future of Garfield Bros Lofts. We believe in them!!
Dam: 19-CCC-1744 BB Hen: The hen that lays the golden eggs. She was bred by Joe Zacharowitz and was flown successfully in the 2020 Spring Break One Loft. I have not managed to be able to get any information on her pedigree but to me that means nothing when we have had the winners from her like we have. She is absolutely incredible and we have several of her babies in the big races this year!
