Sunningdale is a late-hatched 2024 daughter of the Debacker Cock x Splendiferous, a mating that worked extremely well for NRPL. As Splendiferous got older and began laying less consistently, NRPL focused on getting the three full siblings in this auction — Sunningdale, Mish Mash and Mayfair Lady — all from single egg nests laid by Splendiferous. The Debacker Cock has been one of the best breeding cocks in the NRPL loft, while Splendiferous was by far Florian's best racing and breeding daughter. This hit pair bred, among others, AU 21 NRPL 1073, which was 12/354b (1st Drop) @ 354m in the California Classic Second Wind, and AU 22 NRPL 2037, which was 4/680b (1st Drop) @ 348m in the California Classic Second Wind. Those two performances alone produced more than $30,000 in prizes and pools. NRPL also continues to receive reports of success from others with children of the Debacker Cock x Splendiferous.

Breeding Highlights: Only a couple of youngsters were raised from Sunningdale in 2025, so she has had limited opportunity in the breeding loft. Her 2026 youngsters, mated to Vanguard, look super. This family has continued to produce through later generations, reinforcing why NRPL worked to preserve these final children from the mating.
