Duchess is a daughter of Pepe San Badger x Crown Jewel and a full sibling to several super racers. She raced at Crooked River and was retained for the breeding loft when she returned. The Pepe San Badger x Crown Jewel mating has proven to be much more than a racing cross. AU 23 NRPL 3035 won $31,297 and 1st Average Speed and has gone on to become a super breeding hen, and NRPL continues to hear of breeding success from other children of this mating.
Breeding Highlights: In her first year breeding, Duchess was mated to Mish Mash, who was also in his first year breeding, and the pair produced three money-winning performances: 3/994b @ 294m in the Dash for Cash; 22/721b @ 350m in the Martinez Classic; and AU 25 NRPL 5016, which finished an outstanding 4th Average Speed in the Blue Bucket.
Conformation: Smallish body; short forearm; very nice wing with shorter flights; very soft feathers; tight vents (very small gap); strong-bodied; very strong back. Nice hen in the hand — really nice hen.
