Steve Temiak
Steve Temiak was born in the Czech Republic. Steve,s desire for a better life led him to Canada when he was a young man. He married and raised his family in the province of British Columbia where he carried on his second love in life, racing pigeons. Steve was very successful flying with the North Road Combine. In 2000, his mom asked him to return the the Czech Republic to help care for her in her latter years. The initial “ will come for 5” turned into 17 years.
Steve and Linda lived on the border between the Czech Republic and Germany and it wasn't long before Steve was a member in both countries in the local pigeon clubs. Steve competed mostly in Germany. Their intense programs piqued his competitive spirit. It wasn't long before Steve enjoyed the same success as he had in Canada.
His strong desire to have the best placed him at the door of the top fanciers in the German sport. His sense of humour and his strong work ethics helped him obtain many friends. The birds in Steve's collection are from these top fanciers who valued his friendship. Included in this collection are birds bred by GM Mack Racing Pigeons, Wolgang and Gunter Zimmermann, Thomas Wedlich, Hans Himm, Herman Birner, Thomas Schaumberger, Mraz Milos and Steve Temiak.
Steve, unfortunately, became ill and was forced to move back to Canada in 2017. His birds followed in 2018 and arrived in May. Steve's live ended, sadly, 3 months after his birds arrival. He had time to breed one round of youngsters but his dream of racing in Canada with these top notch birds came to a sudden stop.
Steve's birds will be sold on Ipigeon starting the week of Thanksgiving and will end with the last 40 or so at a live online auction at the Fort Sutter Clubhouse in Sacremento, California in January 2019.
All birds will be in the USA before they are sold.
