Silvio Mattachione: Book Publisher/Author/Journalist

Silvio Mattacchione earned a B.A. and an M.A. in History from the University of Waterloo. He is known worldwide as a specialist publisher of books on birds. Many of his books are recognized as important works for specialist breeders. Silvio's extensive series of articles on racing pigeons have been published in racing pigeon journals globally( USA, Great Britain, Canada, China, Taiwan, Mexico, Romania, Hungary, Poland and Australia. Silvio has written 2 books including “Kingmaker: De Rauw  Sablon A Racing Pigeon Dynasty” and has published five books on racing pigeons: The Will To Prepare by Bob Kinney, Rotondo On Racing Pigeons by Joe Rotondo, World Champions 1994 by Kenechi Yoshihara, The Pigeon Guide by Shannon Hiatt/Dr. Jon Esposito, and Big Andy Presents Global Champions 2010. These books have been collected and read by pigeon fanciers world-wide. Silvio has personally kept racing pigeons for 58 years. Silvio's body of published books and over 100 articles have made him one of the most read and most recognizable names in the pigeon world.
