All the Right Stuff!
AU 18 ARPU 71502 BLUE BAR HEN
71502 combines winning long distance ability with One Loft
Racing endurance winning ability. We have her offspring in
the California Classic this year and may regret selling her but
we must reduce our loft to 15 birds or less at this time.
Campbell Strange explained that for races over 300 miles, the
Devriendts were unequivocally the best pigeons. He imported
and sold more expensive champion pigeons than anybody in
recent times. The majority of OLR are now over 300 miles
and not surprisingly, most 300 miles winners don't perform
well at 350 miles. The Sire of 71502, "289" is from a pigeon
that has now bred 7 First Place Winners to 500 miles. He is
a Devriendt from Carmen Griffis. 174's Dam was 4th Combine
flying nearly 14 hours in a 600 mile race with only 5 day birds.
289's, Dam '220' is a full sister to15 AUB 171 who bred a $25,000
winner in the LBRA Auction Race in NY. The Dam of 71502 is
"PNC Racer", a hen that performed extremely well in a difficult
race series. Not only did she have two equal Firsts and a Second
in the 2017 Pacific Northwest Challenge race, she also won
Average Speed by over 2 hours! We have several of her offspring
in the Hoosier Classic and the California Classic this year so you
can guess their importance/value! 71502 borders on being a
'broad' hen of medium size. We consider this important for a
breeder. And, yes, 71502 flew 350 miles in the 2018 Breeders Fall
Classic. She was the youngest pigeon in the race shipped on the
last acceptance day so her flights were never pulled. Still, she was
only 3 minutes late in the Final.
