I bought this bird to bring in tough blood as I did with a few other birds. 223 is a medium to large bird and well proportioned. He raced well at the Fast Eddies Late Hatch Classic and went ahead to breed an excellent racer at the 2016 Flamingo International Challenge. That bird flew 61st at 145 miles, =1st clocking 9th at 228 miles, and  =1st clocking 19th at 305 miles, taking the 10th ace position.

I bred 223 onto a foundation hen in 2018 and sent to the Apple Cup Classic. That bird raced well placing =1st 33rd vs 602 birds 161 miles, 55th vs 573 birds 209 miles, until the devistating smash race where about 350 birds went missing. He came home the next day and from then on was arriving late in the training tosses..I can only speculate that he was hurt or not in health to race. Those were the only 2 birds ever raced off of him, I have several in the stock loft off of 223. Making him available for the breeding season 2020. Sandstorm Brothers have been very competitive in the OLR game with their De Arden blood.
