"61" was bred from two pigeons that I was holding for Tim Kirschner during his original move to NC to begin the Breeders Fall Classic. I paired a full brother x sister grizzles that were from Mike's old grizzle families, and the babies were spectacular. Unfortunately, shortly after weaning "61" a weasel got into my breeding loft and killed 9 pairs and their babies out of 12 cages.
"61" is the perfect breeding hen. Her wing opens up so easily and I love that characteristic in a pigeon that needs to fly any distance - 250+ miles. A stiff wing is indicative of a sprint racer. She's a little older, but she is in tip top shape, guaranteed to lay a first nest, and has several years to go. Very tame, excellent breeder of winning babies.
Because her parents were never really mine, I do not have a pedigree on this bird. Handle her, and you won't care about the pap[er. Trust me!
