As a result of the Hoosier Classic Young Bird loft fire, our winning Hoosier Old Bird team has been returned to us. Unfortunately, we do not have room for them all. These are birds that were originally entered in the Hoosier Classic Young Bird Series by other breeders who had sent their very best birds to one of the largest One Loft Races in the USA. We obtained these birds for the old bird series. They have all flown two or three years of race series proving that they have great homing abilities.
Update: These four racers listed here on ipigeon are the last birds we are selling from our Hoosier Old Bird Team. We planned to keep and breed from them but our loft was overcrowded already, and just not enough room for them and our other families. Our loss can be your gain. These are the last of the best, of over thirty birds we flew in the Hoosier Classis Old Bird Series of 2018 and 2019.
“Night Owl” flew three seasons at Hoosier Classic completing all race series and flying 500 miles twice, the second time as a “500 Mile Day Bird.” He was in the top 20% on five races and top 10% in average speed twice. Racing a total of more than 4000 miles and nearly 3000 miles of training.
As a Young Bird he was 170th vs 989 birds on the final 350 mile race and 83rd in Average Speed against 1331 birds.
In 2019 as an Old Bird he 53rd of 55 day birds on the 500 mile final finishing 48th Average Speed vs 485 birds.
