AU 17 A 17637 Chocolate Checker Hen. Bred by Ed Minvielle. This late hatch hen's sire is a Jelle Rozier based bird whose parents were imported by me to the States from the loft of John Shore of Australia. Mr. Shore is a close friend of Colin Walker and Colin has told me that John Shore has arguably the best race record in all of the Australia over the past several years. John specializes in the "Queen L" birds from Jelle Roziers in Belgium. Most of you probably know that Jelle had one of the most remarkable race records in all of Europe this past year, winning many, many top prizes including 1st National Bourges. His "Queen L" family, which is partially based on Houben birds from his cousin Luc Houben are tearing it up in Belgium right now. The dam of 17637 is a hen I call "Money Princess." She is a grand daughter of the famous "Classic Boy" of Gallo Loft, winner of 1st GHC Classic, and she is a full sister to Manny's 1st Canadian International winner, and another full sister bred Manny and his partner Arthur Vega a brand new car in the 2017 SAMDR race series. Recent wins by this Chocolate, Houben blood include 1st Windy City Classic, Chicago, 2016, and just recently E-1st in the California Classic, winning $75,000 for Gold Star Loft, Jerry Stone. This little hen is very well put together, muscular, with sleek silky feathering, nice dark eyes and she is closely related to many superstars in the futurity races over the past several years. I think she will make a very strong stock hen. As an added bonus, she also carries the Mega Gene DR4.
