STARTING SOON THE AUCTION OF ONE OF THE BEST FANCIERS IN THE WORLD ANDREAS DRAPA, IN THIS AUCTION WE HAVE THE BEST OF THE BEST FROM HIS SUPERSTARS, POKERFACE, SKY FIGHTER BUT ALSO GRAND OF THE WORLDFAMOUS KITTEL !!!
German top racer Andreas Drapa. Stating that the records list he managed to complete since he started racing at the age of 10 is extremely impressive is a serious understatement. On this records list we note winning no less than eight times the General Championship of Germany (for the first time in 1998 and later in 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2011). We see seven 1st Europacup titles (four times on the Middle Distance, in 2003, 2006, 2010 and 2011, two times Allround, in 2006 and 2010, and in 2006 on the Long Distance as well). We see four 1st National Acepigeons, the 1st, 6th and 12th World Champion Middle Distance Versele Laga title in 1998, the 3rd World Champion Middle Distance Versele Laga title in 1997, the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Master Award in 2009 and we haven’t even begun to list the Olympiad titles.
Indeed, if any fancier can lay claim to the nickname of “Mr. Olympiad” it must be Andreas Drapa. Just look at the following list:
1999, Blackpool: 1st Olympiad Winner Middle Distance
2003, Lievin: 4th Olympiad Winner Middle Distance, 4th Olympiad Winner Allround
2005, Porto: 5th Olympiad Winner Middle Distance, 10th Olympiad Winner Allround
2007, Ostend: 1st Olympiad Winner Middle Distance, 1st Olympiad Winner Allround, 3rd Olympiad Winner Middle Distance
2011, Poznan: 1st Olympiad Winner Middle Distance, 2nd Olympiad Winner Allround, 3rd Olympiad Winner Allround, 4th Olympiad Winner Middle Distance
2013, Nitra: 9th Olympiad Winner Middle Distance
And this is just to sketch “the beginnings” because we’re only taking a look at the period 1997 - 2014 ! More recently the German Grandmaster has continued his triumphs and managed to retain a firm grip on his position as one of the finest fanciers in the world. His Königsfamilie (King’s family) managed to collect no less than 75 first prizes on distances between 111 and 550 km and against up to 3752 pigeons. In 2016, together with his partner Yongjang Zhang, Andreas won the prestigeous “Mercedes Cup”, landing him not only a superb trophee but also a Mercedes GLE worth 70.000 euro.
To get these exceptional performances Andreas and his father Walter regularly introduce new blood on their lofts, provided of course that these new introductions are indeed the best of the best. A good example of this is the “Kittel” line of Dirk Van Den Bulck.
Some top birds that have made the Drapa name worldfamous are for example “Pokerface”, 2nd Olympic Champion Poznan 2011 Cat. D Allround, 1st Europacup Allround 2010, 1st German National Acepigeon, 1st Master Awards 2009, etc., “Sky Fighter”, a son of “Pokerface” x Olympiad hen “Penelope” and winner of 10 first prizes, 5th Olympiad pigeon and 1st National Acepigeon in both 2013 and 2014, “Super Mario”, seven times first prize winner, “Aventador”, eight times first prize winner, and many others. The Drapa breeding strategy is clear: only the best in the world are good enough. To get these exceptional performances Andreas and his father Walter regularly introduce new blood on their lofts, provided of course that these new introductions are indeed the best of the best. A good example of this is the “Kittel” line of Dirk Van Den Bulck. To refresh your memory: “Kittel” was the 1st National KBDB Ace Pigeon Sprint Young Birds in 2013 with results such as 1st Quievrain against 2089 pigeons, 1st Quievrain against 1792 pigeons, 2nd Quievrain against 2023 pigeons, 3rd Quievrain against 2443 pigeons, etc. In other words a true sprint cannon, himself a son of “Olympic Rosita”, 1st Olympiadbird Cat. F in Nitra. “Greipel”, brother of “Kittel”, on the other hand became the 6th National Acepigeon KBDB Sprint in 2013, so we can speak of an exceptional sprint gene pool. Dirk Van Den Bulck was also 1st National KBDB Sprint Champion, 1st, two times 3rd, two times 4th, three times 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th Provincial Champion between 2009 and 2013, holder of two 1st Provincial Acepigeons in 2012 and 2013, etc. Indeed, more than references enough for Andreas Drapa to introduce this phenomenal sprint blood on his own loft.
That this strategy of getting only the best pigeons available on the loft has paid off big time for Andreas and Walter has already been made abundantly clear by the results above, but also on the front of the one loft races - where the hand of the fancier himself is absent and only the true quality of the birds themselves counts - has the Drapa name meanwhile been written in golden letters. A grandchild of an original Drapa bird won the world famous Million Dollar Race in South Africa and a daughter of an original Drapa won the 6th in the same race, to mention but the most important results. In other words we are dealing here with a truly exceptional breed of pigeons that has already made its mark on modern pigeon sport and is guaranteed to continue this glory in the future!
