Description

Thank you for attending our auction of Vandenabeel birds from the famous lofts of the Wright Brothers in the UK. Brought to the USA for the first time by Valhalla Lofts and our partner, the renoun Peter Martin.

The Wright Brothers have been flying pigeons in England for over four decades. After winning every major prize in the Sprint Races Roy and Malcolm added the Gaby Vandenabeels. As a result, the "Wright Brothers" have dominated the middle to long distance races winning over both land and water in Club, Federation, and National Competition. Regularly competing against 2,000 to 5,000 birds the Wright Brothers compete in the same competition as the famed Mark Evans pigeons and the Wright Brothers pigeons have won out of turn. The Wright Brothers are always the ones to beat. The Wright Brothers hold the distinction of being the only fanciers to have been featured over a span of three decades in the R.P. Pictorial.

These Gaby's are still winning for the Wright Brothers today. In two races this year, the Wright Brothers had the only day bird in the club. On one terrible smash race, the Wright Brothers won the first two positions and had 27 of their 34 birds home by the second day.

The Wright Brother Gaby's win for other fliers too. Our partner, Peter Martin is the one to beat in Ireland. In his first group of birds from the Wright Brothers a bird Peter named "Malcolm", became the only bird to win three Federation races in the 100 year history of the Federation. This year in two seperate Federation competitions Peter won second in tough channel races. One from 200 miles, the other from 310 miles. Though they werent members and couldn't compete against P.I.P.A. (Norther Ireland Pigeon Association) in these two races, Peters Federation relesaed with N.I.P.A. and had Peters birds been allowed to compete against N.I.P.A., the velocities of his two birds would have put both of his birds in the top 15 positions against over 10,000 birds in the two races. Both hens were from the Barney lines represented in this auction. Other fliers including Dave Backhouse, Harry Gravill, Walters, and Broadhurst, have had tremendous success and improvements in their loft performances with the Wright Brother Gaby's. An fancier in Asia purchased birds from the Wright Brothers three years in a row and they moved him straight to the top of competition. He invited Roy Wright to move to Asia ans become his loft manager. Roy's wife declined for them!

The "Wright Brothers" are the "Janssen Brothers" of the UK. Their loft is where aspiring fliers in the UK go to enhance their lofts. The Wrights are not publicity seekers and choose to focus on Quality in their small operation rather than Quanity. How good are they? The quality of the Wright Brothers Gaby's led Mike Lakin of the MNFC to label the Wright Brothers as "The Record Breakers."

Pigeons are not the Wright Brothers main source of income and they only sell a few select birds each year. The birds in this auction do not come with fancy photo-shopped or templated pictures. Nor are they accompanied by detailed pedigrees with exagerated results. They do come with the highest quality bloodlines. Bloodlines that have "Broken Records" over the years for the Wright Brothers and countless others. Each bird is a sibling to at least one winner, and several are siblings to multiple winners. They will make an impact in your loft.

Good luck and good flying. Thank you for your consideration.
